We are a company of the Grupo IMSA, with more than 35 years in the food industry; We provide fumaric acid and its salts for different food applications such as jellies and powdered soft drinks, gummies, tortillas and flat breads. Our production plant is located in the Central Park Free Trade Zone in Turbaco, Bolívar – Colombia, which, having a location close to the port, allows us to serve North, Central and South America effectively. To date we export to more than 12 countries throughout the region; and we participate in the most relevant markets in Latin America, reaching important market clients for the applications that we serve today with our additives.
Today our portfolio is made up of several references of fumaric acid soluble in cold water and hot water, this organic acid is widely used as an acidulant and acidity regulator in various food categories such as gelatins and powdered soft drinks, sweets, personal hygiene products and pharmaceutical products. In addition, we have an encapsulated fumaric acid used as a pH regulator, reducing and leavening agent in baking products such as tortillas, breads and flatbreads. Other products in our portfolio are fumaric acid salts, calcium fumarate and ferrous fumarate, the former is used as an acidity regulator, technological aid and fortifier in dairy applications, beverages and soft drinks, jellies, sweets, jams, sauces among others; and the second is used especially for the fortification of flours and nutritional supplements.
